Creator of Award-Winning Graphic Novel Series
Using Latest Release to Benefit Local Charity
8/10/08—Dallas, TX: Robert James Luedke (of Flower Mound), the author and illustrator of the award-winning graphic novel series, Eye Witness, is teaming up with Titan Comics, Artlovemagic and Space Gun Studios to generate donations for the charity, Heroes 4 Heroes…who work directly with the United States Military to provide portable media/entertainment to troops stationed overseas.
This week marks the national release date of the third book in the Eye Witness series, Rise of the Apostle (www.headpress.info) and Luedke is using his Texas release party at Titan Comics, to generate visibility and donations for Heroes for Heroes. For every copy of Rise of the Apostle purchased, (or any of the Eye Witness books), Luedke will donate another copy to Heroes for Heroes.
In addition, everyone who brings in a donation for Heroes for Heroes during this event, will receive a FREE Eye Witness promotional poster, signed by Luedke and the painter of the poster, Dallas based artist David Rodriguez (www.artlovemagic.com). The poster is an exclusive only available at Luedke’s book signing appearances.
In addition to Luedke, the event will also feature the release and book signing for Dallas’ own, Space Gun Studio’s new anthology, Synesthetic, (www.myspace.com/space_gun)

The second book in the series, (which creatively blends a modern day action-thriller with a Biblical adaptation), Eye Witness: Acts of the Spirit, was the winner in the category of comics/graphic novels at the 2007 Hollywood Book Festival, won a silver medal at the 2007 Independent Publisher Awards and was a finalist in FOREWORD Magazine’s 2007 Book of the year awards.
Heroes for Heroes (www.heroes4heroes.org) has been extremely effective in collecting donations from both the public and corporate America of entertainment materials such as: comic books, graphic novels, DVD’s, CD’s, books, magazines, MP3 players, games and gaming systems…and getting them into the hands of our troops stationed in the middle east. They’ve been so effective, in fact, that the Commanding General of the Multi-national forces in Iraq, General Patraeus, personally sent them a letter of a commendation and has had their packages distributed by his executive staffers!
